Wish List Card #1

2003 Bowman Draft Nick Markakis X-Fractor Autograph.

Despite the fact that I fancy myself a Markakis collector, I don't own a single one of his "true" rookie cards. This one is about as good as it gets, but unfortunately is out of my price range.

I'd settle for this one, which is a bit more affordable, but still expensive:

I'm sure this is the plight of many a player collector. What cards are on your wish list?

Haven't gotten many comments lately, and it's starting to bum me out man. If you stop by, and like what you see, or have something to say, please feel free to leave a comment. It'll cheer me up on the day of the 6th consecutive Orioles loss, and 4th consecutive day of rain here in Beardyland.

  1. I don't get the fascination with those chrome xfractor cards... Then again, my favorite player is Barry Larkin...and his rookie card is surrounded by the glorious fake wood of the 1987 Topps set.

  2. '87 Topps rules!

I don't know man, it's shiny and stuff. There are other Markakis rookies I want, but most of those are actually affordable.

  3. I actually don't know what Alex Gordon's best rookie is. I'm guessing it's the 2006 Topps error card that Olbermann bought for one billion dollars. Yeah, I'll never have one of those. I'm thinking about expanding from Gordon to five or six guys that I like. Maybe I'll collect a different player from each position? Who knows.
