What is this?

Aside from the obvious fact that it's a stack of cards, this is how many doubles, triples, quadruples & quintuples that 4 boxes of Allen & Ginter's got me. I haven't counted, but this has to be somewhere around 500 cards that are essentially useless to me. Topps did a TERRIBLE job with collation, and there's NO WAY you should EVER get this many doubles out of 4 hobby boxes. To make matters worse, I'm nowhere near completing the base set, and may actually have more doubles than cards that go towards completing a set.

Expect a full breakdown of all 4 boxes sometime this week, along with trade & want lists.

  1. Did you get any Red Sox doubles? I'm sure with that stack you did. I will also be looking for Red Sox minis. If you are interested in a trade of some sort please let me know.

  2. I got a second box and was also amazed at the amount of doubles. Ideally, you should be able to complete the set with 3 boxes. That doesn't appear to be anywhere near the case.

  5. That sucks. These days, that's WAY to many doubles in just a few boxes.

  6. Sign me up for Pujols, Cano, and if Lind has a card... and maybe Russ Martin, Hughes, Joba... you know all the guys you hate.

  7. I've opened a lot of Topps products this year (although I love them) it seems like they aren't really "randomly" placed in packs, for one thing I've bought the same boxes from different vendors online and sometimes will get two boxes that have almost exactly the same base cards as each other. Also, has anyone noticed that it seems like all the same autos are coming out at the same time on ebay? And others haven't even popped up yet.
