Phun Cards from Phungo

As promised, here is that trade I was referring to earlier. A few weeks back, Paul from Phungo emailed me about his quest to complete the '59 Topps set, and saw that I had some Orioles doubles to spare. Luckily, he had some doubles as well, 1 double in particular that I needed for my team set, and that became the centerpiece for this deal. Here is that card:

1959 Topps All-Star Gus Triandos
#568
Paul was also nice enough to send over a whole bunch of other O's cards, including a couple of Markakii that are new to my collection.

2007 Topps Co-signers #52
2007 Upper Deck Future Stars #9
2007 Bowman Heritage #196
I have the no-signature SP version of this card somewhere. I pulled it from one of those "Gems of the Game" repack boxes a few months back.

2008 Topps 50th Anniversary All-Star Rookie #AR67

Paul also sent me a pack of Phungo custom cards, which are pretty kick ass. I've chosen a couple to share:

Phungo Insert- Brian Roberts/CC Sabathia
What a sweet little custom card, and best of all, it's taken at Camden Yards (a.k.a. the best place to ever see a ballgame... EVER), and features 2 star players doing battle. This card is printed on shiny paper, while all the others are matte. Me likey the shiny.

Phungo Mike Mussina #20
Paul must have a pretty good sense of humor to send this card along. Either that, or he hates my guts. Mike Mussina is a traitor, and I'm the happiest person alive that his Yankee days ended sans World Series. Even though he was great here, and at first I missed him when he was gone, Mike Mussina is dead to me now. Him and Mark Teixeira can both eat me!

After that little fiasco, I've got to end this trade post in the bestest way possible, and there's only one way to do that.

DIAMOND KING!
Thanks Paul, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

  1. That Phungo Insert (Brian Roberts/CC Sabathia) is very nice! I am a huge fan.
