They'll be in Baltimore for a one night only gig at a fairly small club on Tuesday night, and my girlfriend was lucky and awesome enough to score us 2 tickets. While I'm not that into them anymore, I sure as hell used to be, and have never seen them before, so I'm pretty psyched about it. Check Your Head was the soundtrack to my freshman year in high school, and along with A Tribe Called Quest, the Beasties served as my intro into the world of hip-hop. Hopefully, it's not depressing seeing how old they are now, and how old I am now, but that's a chance I'll have to take. According to recent set lists, they play a lot of old stuff, so this should be a pretty sweet show.
All of this got me wondering, with all the celebrities and musicians that show up in sports card sets these days, if the Beastie Boys had a card. Surely they must, right? Well, they didn't, but they do now.
This card is from the Beardy Hairitage release, and is the silver ink version hand numbered to 10!
Personally, Ad Rock has always been my favorite.
