At the time, he was the late...It's Kevin Orie. At the time, he was the latest in the long line of can't miss prospects who were going to take over 3rd base. Until they got Aramis in 2003, the Cubs basically had a black hole at that position since Ron Santo left in 1974. Orie actually hit .281 in 1997 and finished second (I think) in the NL ROY race to Scott Rolen. He was terrible in 1998 and wound up getting traded... to Florida I think? Don't remember.
